Overview

We created a platform for a company that imports and distributes electronic components. They wanted to get away from the outdated site where you could search components and automate some of the sales processes. This is a good step towards the digitalization of the business. We helped the fast-growing company to upgrade the site and switch from phone and e-mail orders to a full-fledged online operation and making deals through a personal account.

Tasks 🔥

To automate sales in the b2b sector by creating a personal account. Make integration with several components suppliers, data aggregation (specifications of the components). To set up integration with Oracle Management: organizations, users, orders, status and history, financial information, claims.

Workflow ✨

Prototyping

We prepared a list of requirements for the functionality of the site, described through User Story. Also we described the interaction of users with the system.

Creating the final design

We developed an interface, evaluated all the things we will implement.

Designing the service

Creation of the personal account and API for the front, writing the front itself.

Setting up the integrations

Integration with several components providers, integration with Oracle Management.

Export and orders history

In a personal account you can export the order (for example, to coordinate with the specialists in the production). You can see the history of your orders. Up-to-date information about the availability/time of delivery/price of the current order after it has already been processed by the Global Key manager.

Components search tool

Electronic components search tool for all subscribed suppliers. Managers no longer need to place orders, or call to clarify availability, or delivery dates to pass this information on to the customer. Now, when the customer chooses the necessary component, we immediately check all the information and allow the formation of an actual order. It "falls" into Oracle to the Global Key manager and only after that he communicates directly with the customer.

All orders will be 100% delivered to Oracle, regardless of its performance. Personal account functions independently from Oracle and is completely autonomous. When viewing the order history we take into account that Oracle may not respond. In this case we show you the latest information on the status of the order, which is stored in our database, instead of displaying an error or broken connection with Oracle.

We aggregate product information (specifications) from suppliers, collect, localize, and form a kind of catalog.

Hints that make it easier for the customer to track the order and prevent them from choosing the wrong quantity. It can pop up when hovering or highlighted in color. It helps to avoid mistakes and release managers from overloading their work.

After the order is ready it is possible to download the waybill from Oracle in a personal account, view contracts, track the status of the order for each item, communicate with the manager in chats for each request/order/claim.

Process optimization

We have optimized the processing of various requests, such as "Reconciliation Act" or "Change of requisites", by implementing a system of tickets. Now all requests go through a single platform, where the client selects the appropriate category and can attach files.
