Who?

“Drops” is the largest wholesale supplier of auto chemicals in Belarus.

What they wanted?

Initially, the project was conceived as an online store only for legal entities and partners of the company. But we proposed to implement additional IT solutions that the customer really liked. As a result, it was decided to create the largest online store in its segment. He performed a whole range of tasks: business automation for the B2B segment, fully informing customers about the presented product lines, as well as creating a new cluster of potential customers from individuals. It was planned to hook them with a wide assortment, useful reviews and free consultations on the website.

Features

SPA

The project is fully implemented as a SPA, using Laravel + Vue.js + Nuxt.js. This choice was made for a reason — we have rich experience in backend development on Laravel, and Nuxt.js allows you to get the most comfortable experience when developing and managing the state of the frontend.

Calculating in real time

Due to the fact that the website is built as a SPA, when the number of products or assortment changes, the cart calculates everything instantly in real time.

Procurement logic

For wholesalers, a rather complex procurement logic has been implemented: depending on the place and method of delivery, as well as the amount of payment, different algorithms for calculating the cost of products are used. For example, the system chooses whether to calculate an individual discount, a volume discount, or another.

In order to increase the average check, we used the classic cross-sale method — right in the basket we show the most popular products of recent times.

Powerful personal account

A powerful personal account has been developed, which is fully synchronized with the client's 1C. Now a regional representative can independently change his details, delivery points (especially useful for chain stores), manage his company's managers and access levels for them, as well as view the status of their orders and automatically generate invoices for payment.

UX/UI

Mobile first

We made the site according to the principles of mobile first, i.e. the emphasis in design and layout was primarily on the mobile version. So, for example, it does not need to load heavy blocks in it, and fewer products can be displayed in collections. Everything to make using the site on smartphones quick and convenient.

Articles

In addition to fairly standard blocks like "articles", we presented collections of products to solve the most common problems, for example, "how to start a diesel engine in winter", "what is the best way to soak a leather interior", "what to present a man for Christmas" and so on. They also made an animated machine where, when hovering over each node, the product categories for this node are highlighted.
